Returns Policy (for UK customers)

Our returns policy lasts 14 days from receipt apart from orders placed between 27 October 2023 until 23 December 2023*. Between these dates, items can be returned up to the 8 January 2024.

If 14 days have gone by since you received your goods and you have not contacted us, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange; naturally this excludes faulty goods that have not been misused or mis-handled

Notably roller bag handles which are prone to breaking if the bag has been dragged down stairs and whose damage is easily identifiable and is not covered by warranty. To re-iterate, please carry all roller bags down stairs else the extending supports will snap in a uniform and identifiable manner that is not covered by any warranty or guarantee.


To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging and your right to cancel starts 14 days of purchase, and ends 14 days from receiving the item.

Please wrap the item in paper, or a plastic bag.

Please do not stick sellotape, the return slip or anything to the box / packaging as this can render it un-sale-able. The item's packaging from the manufacturer must be returned in the condition it was received in.

Several types of goods are exempt from being returned: customised goods including embroidered or printed bowling shirts, custom designed bowling balls, custom designed pins, engraved bowling balls and custom drilled bowling balls - these can not be returned unless faulty.

To complete your return, you must contact us first, and we will require a receipt or proof of purchase. We will advise on where the return should be sent, sometimes to us or occasionally to our suppliers to allow for swifter refunds.

Refunds (if applicable) Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within 7 days of the goods being returned, however please note that delays should be queried with your card issuer once you have received notification that the refund has been made. 

Late or missing refunds (if applicable)

A bit more re the above... If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your Credit Card, Paypal or bank account again. Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted. Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted. If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact usIf you have received a system message from ourselves, Shopify Payments or Paypal, to state we have processed the refund, then please be advised that there is nothing we can do to speed this up and you need to contact the relevant payments company / bank.

Sale items (if applicable)
Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded unless faulty.

Exchanges (if applicable)

We replace items if the wrong item is sent, or defective within the warranty period. Please email a photograph of the issue beforehand.

Always keep damaged/defective items to hand. Do not try to get them repaired by another company. Keep all damaged items and packaging. Damage usually occurs whilst shipping and the couriers will want to examine the damage, this will limit your ability to claim if you do not keep everything.


If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you. If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and he will found out about your return. Shipping Standard Delivery Times Economy Delivery is usually 3 up to 7 working days within the UK and this is subject to the delivery service used. If delivery is going to be longer, we will inform you and you will be able to cancel the order with no obligation.

Free Delivery Service

Free delivery is only available in the UK and available on items over £40. Delivery is normally 3-6 working days although sometimes quicker. The service used is not tracked. If you require a speedy or tracked service, please select the appropriate courier option.

Express Delivery
If you are in the UK and require express delivery, i.e. for a birthday, then this can be arranged at a cost of approximately £7-15 for any item(s), however we will not be held responsible for late posting missing a certain delivery date. We can deliver most items within 2 working days by this method depending upon the time & day ordered. Standard / Airmail Delivery Costs A fee is applicable and calculated by weight. International orders (i.e. those outside of the UK) will all be charged according to weight, please contact us for more information.

If you need guaranteed next day delivery, please contact us. If you are local to us in Leeds, West Yorkshire, we may be able to arrange pick up, or at a cost to be agreed, same day delivery.

This can be arranged by special arrangement, please contact us.

Delivery Costs

Delivery costs can be viewed by adding items to your shopping basket. Once in the basket, you can use the pull down menu towards the bottom of the page to get the costs for posting to your location We ship to the UK, mainland Europe, North America, Australia, NZ, Japan but will consider requests from other countries. contact us for more information. Returning An Item If you wish to return an item, you must contact us first via our contact form.

If an item is found to have been used, it will be photographed and you will then be contacted. In this instance, the item will be returned and no refund will be given. If you do return the item, it must be returned in the packaging and condition it was received and should not have been used.

Exchanging Items - If you have ordered a certain size and wish to exchange it for another size, then please include the postage so that the item can be re-sent. Delivery costs apply to the first package only. It does not cover re-sending an item except if we have not sent the item as stated on the order confirmation (see below). Free delivery orders, please contact us for info on exchanges. 

We can not be held responsible for sending out items in the correct size that do not fit. In an instance whereby we do not supply the exact item ordered, i.e. it is our mistake, then we will of course cover the return shipping costs. We are happy to advise on shoe/glove/ball sizes so please check with us prior to ordering and we do constantly ask customers to check size/colours ordered during and after the purchase process.

Customers ordering shoes are advised to have their feet measured if they have not done so for a few years. If shoes or gloves are the wrong size, the return must be paid for by the buyer.

Please do not call or visit Ready Steady Store - it is just a storage outfit and we do not work out of there on a daily basis.

How to Return an Item

When returning goods, we recommend, which offers tracking, or if you use the Post Office, please ask for a "Certificate of Posting" which is free.

If your return is returned after 14 days without notice, we will send you a replacement item or electronic credit note.

This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer. Postage refunds will be not be given on returned goods that are not faulty. Prices may fluctuate due to market forces (and more often, the Royal Mail!) and reserves the right to alter prices without prior notice.

International customers wanting to return an item need to do so at their own cost and shipping costs will not be refunded unless the item is incorrect or faulty.

Please note that UK terms and conditions of sale do not apply to overseas orders and we can not cover the cost of returning unwanted items.
